Presenter Guidelines

1.  Title your presentation followed by your name & institutional affiliation.  See the following examples for correct formatting:
– “Creating Monsters: A selection of original poetry,” Betty Smith, Department of English,
Lehman College, Bronx, NY.
– “Did You Hear That?: An Historical Examination of Urban Myths,” Robert Smith, Department
of History, Lehman College, Bronx, NY

2.  Write a short abstract that describes the work you propose to present and the type of presentation. This could be a poster presentation of original research, poetry reading, paper presentation, or other type of scholarship, performance, or creative activity.  Limit your abstract to a 250 word paragraph.

3.  Do not include sample work in the abstract.  However,  the organizers may ask for sample work at a later date if deemed necessary.

4.  Identify the name and department of the principal faculty supervisor of your project.  (e.g., Mark Christian, Department of Africana Studies)

5.  Proofread the abstract for accuracy of content and style.
